This is delicious and SO easy.
For chicken:
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Italian salad dressing
Granulated garlic
Lemon pepper seasoning
For sauce:
1 c. chicken broth
1/3 c. vinegar
1/3 c. sugar
Drops of yellow food coloring
1 T cornstarch
4 lemons, sliced into circles
Marinate chicken overnight in Italian salad dressing. Preheat oven to 350 F. Place marinated chicken breasts in 9 x 13 pan, sprinkle them with granulated garlic and lemon pepper seasoning. Cover with foil and bake 30-40 min.
Combine chicken broth, sugar, vinegar, and yellow food coloring in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Dissolve the cornstarch into a small amount of water before adding it to the sauce. Allow the sauce to boil gently and thicken, stirring occasionally. Turn heat to medium-low and add the sliced lemons. Pour over the chicken and serve with rice.
